The Grundfos CMBE 3-62 1-1/2 horsepower, 230-volt, 50/60 Hz, constant-pressure, multistage, centrifugal booster pump (98374693 ) is designed for water supply, irrigation, and dewatering in domestic and light-commercial applications. This easy-to-install, horizontal, compact system comes preassembled with a CME pump, a highly efficient ECM motor, a diaphragm tank, pressure gauge, pressure and flow sensor, controller, and a 5-way fitting with a non-return check valve. The permanent-magnet motor provides an energy-saving, reliable, and quiet booster pumping solution; and an integrated speed controller maintains constant pressure by changing the motor speed as needed whenever the sensor detects a fluctuation in discharge pressure.

The system also includes dry-running protection. With its robust, stainless-steel construction, the Grundfos model CMBE 3-62 98374693 can be used to boost pressure for a wide range of purposes, including the supply of water for drinking (NSF 61/372 approved), gardening, and agriculture. The supply source could be tap water, chlorinated water, softened water, a shallow well, rainwater, condensate, groundwater, river or lake water, boiler feedwater, district heating water, and so on, as long as the liquids being transferred are clean, thin, with no solid particles or fibers that could cause wear or clog the pump, and are not aggressive or explosive (no diesel oil or other liquids containing oil).
